So Grown Up

A quick trip to the mall today turned in to a 3 hour event; losing a purse, crying over said lost purse, finding said lost purse, smiles over finding said lost purse, and a starbucks hot chocolate (peppermint mocha for me thank you very much) to celebrate the ups and downs of the day. I've realized something today, something I'm both happy and sad about: my kids are growing up. Gone are the days of shopping for legos and barbies....it's turned in to clothes and make-up. But more than that, what I realized while standing in line at Starbucks looking at my gorgeous girl, she is turning in to such a beautiful young lady. As sad as it is that she is growing up, I'm so excited to enter in to this new part of our relationship. I'm excited to see what becomes of this, both the ups and downs. I'm excited to share experiences and stories, I'm excited to watch her grow-up. Most of all, I'm so proud to be her Mom!
